Synopses

With about 10.000 square kilometer Big Island is known as Hawaii’s biggest Island and assembles twelve climatic zones of the earth. Helicopter pilot Calvin Dorn is one of many interesting citizen we met on this island. Among other unique people we will discover more of the island than any regular visitor. Ex-Officer Calvin Dorn has flown hundreds of times over his island and knows almost every centimeter – but still he is fascinated each time by having this bird -eye-perspective especially flying over an active Volcano.
In the middle of hot tracks of Lava running down the Volcano we meet Jack Thomson the last inhabitant of a small village that was buried by Lava from the Kilauea years ago.
